Jeannette Wallen is this year's recipient of the Burggraff Award. The Award is traditionally presented at the MSH Business Meeting held during the Tri-State Meeting.

Because Jeannette could not attend the Tri-State Meeting in Dubuque, President Sheri Blair presented the plaque to Jeannette April 14 at Brunch at Kincaid's in Bloomington.  Congratulations Jeannette!

Thank you for the “Irene Burggraff Award.”

I am honored to be recognized by my fellow histologists for my contributions to the Minnesota Society and the field of histology.

Never would I have imagined that a temporary job assignment back in 1991, working as a laboratory assistant in a cytology department, would lead me to the career that I have held for 17 years. The variety of laboratory environments and the personnel that I have encountered over these years has enriched and enhanced the technician that I am today. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to all the people that have shared their wisdom and knowledge about the field of histology with me.

I have enjoyed my time serving the MN Society in various roles and in my current position as Membership Chairperson. I plan on continuing my support of the MN Society on a local and national level. I am bummed that I could not attend the 10^th anniversary of the Tri-State Meeting this year in Dubuque.
