Job Purpose:  Perform all general histology functions for support and production activities in histology lab. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 12-8:30pm with pay differential, open to hours of 10am-6:30pm if candidate prefers.

  • Complies with all laboratory policies and procedures, OSHA and CLIA regulations
  • Following all OSHA and lab safety guidelines and maintains a safe and clean environment by the daily cleaning of work areas, cleaning up spills and all other duties necessary to sustain an appropriate work area

Role is responsible for preparing and processing tissue specimens for microscopic examination in a Mohs surgery setting. Key responsibilities include tissue preparation, quality control, and equipment maintenance, with a focus on precision and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, label, and log tissue specimens from Mohs surgeries
  • Prepare tissue sections using appropriate techniques, such as freezing, embedding, and cutting

  • Histotechnician, HT certification required by a recognized agency such as ASCP or NCA within 180 Days required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $30.04 to $39.80 per hour


The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of

factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if

applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for

certain shifts or work.
