We are seeking a Mohs Surgery (Frozen Section Histology) Histology Technician for our
Fridley, Maple Grove, and Coon Rapids offices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures.
- Perform all routine histology functions that support the production of microscopic
- slides for interpretation by the Mohs surgeon.
- Accession tissue specimens, section frozen tissue using a cryostat, process and
- embed tissue specimens, perform microtomy and staining, prepare solutions and
- stains, and perform quality control procedures.
- Assess integrity of specimens for testing and processing, verifying correct patient
- identification and using safe and secure specimen handling.
- Evaluate results for accuracy and resolve test problems.
- Perform and document required instrument maintenance, and quality control; take
- appropriate remedial action.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and appropriate retention.
- Complete quality assurance forms for equipment and procedures according to CLIA regulations.
Qualifications\Skills:
Education
- Associate’s Degree or higher.
- HT or HTL certified.

In this role, you will:
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process through embedding and preparing slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures
- Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance
- Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining

All you need is:
- At minimum graduation from a school of Histotechnology accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS AND HT (ASCP)
